Raw Material Storage Tank Farm – Pharmaceutical Facility
Design, Build Install of a Raw Material Storage and Transfer system for a Local Pharmaceutical Company.
The existing site had limited space to build a new Tank Farm, the idea was to elevate the Tank Farm to allow Waste Disposal skips to be sited below along with a Tanker unloading bay.
Substantial Civils works were required to evenly distribute the load from the elevated Tank farm, the ground floor of which would now be at a height of 9meters.
The Steel work was designed with heavy duty cross supports to minimise movement of the structure and the building was finished of with Grey steel cladding in agreement with the local council.
The Control system incorporated a Tanker Unloading HMI which allowed Raw Material to be fed into a Decontaminated tank, this would be quarantined by the Control System until material analysis was completed. The Material would be removed from quarantine and the transfer system could send the Raw Material for manufacture in the final products.
The Installation was completed on time and under budget.
