Project Brief
Our Solution
Throughout this project we were working as Principal Designer alongside the approved Principal Contractor. Our onsite engineering team worked on behalf of the client as Project Manager and Site Supervisor throughout the onsite phase of the project. Our solution was to firstly envisage a concept which would work for the client and design this concept. Once we had done that, we supported the client with the planning of their capital expenditure. We then managed the decommissioning of the non-compliant Hydrofluorocarbon plant and the unmaintainable existing ammonia and glycol refrigeration system. Finally, we proceeded to install and commission a new system with an upgraded single refrigeration system which could cool off more of the product, therefore improving efficiency. Throughout the project there were some scope changes which we were able to adapt to and keep the project on track for the duration of the work.

Project Result
In conclusion this was a successful project lasting 18 months from starting to completion. We successfully decommissioned the original systems and oversaw the installation of the new systems so that the plant was both safe and compliant to the hydrocarbon and ammonia processes.
