SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER – BRIGHOUSE OR TEESSIDE

Our multi-award winning team is now looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join us. As well as working with some of the world’s most respected manufacturers, you’ll have chance to showcase your skills alongside a supportive and welcoming team.

We require a Senior Process Engineer with both design and site experience in the Chemical industry. Must have a strong project engineering background and up to date experience of process design and functional safety in process and manufacturing sectors e.g. COMAH, Pharma etc. Suitable candidates will be Degree qualified and ideally a chartered member of the IChemE.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Work:

  • Develop and maintain company standards in line with regulatory and business requirements
  • Effectively manage direct reports by setting clear objectives, providing support and monitoring progress against plans. Including 1-2-1 meetings, induction processes, probationary period and performance management
  • Maintain and manage processes to the allow longer-term resource planning for resource and large projects with respect to business requirements and good engineering practice.
  • Develop personal development plans with direct reports in line with professional bodies requirements, customer service and good communication
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, deliver against targets and create an environment of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Take personal responsibility to promote Professional Engineering of their applicable Institution and seek to develop ‘expert’ knowledge in a subject or sector e.g COMAH, Pharma, Food production, Stress Analysis etc.
  • Performance management of your team; setting objectives and goals, reviewing progress, ensuring compliance with company work instructions and policy, motivation of individuals and setting direction with teamwork, spirit of continuous improvement and customer service

Tactical Work:

  • Weekly management of the team in line with the program of projects, processes to effectively allocate resources to satisfy project requirements and offer coordination across the operational team to help avoid technical and personnel resource issues
  • Project manage client projects: in line with ‘Working Instructions’, specifically Project Execution Planning & Enquiry Control. Reporting into the weekly planning cycle, updating the relevant weekly/monthly reports and liaising with colleagues and clients
  • Effectively communicate with team, colleagues and operations manager in support of departmental goals
  • Acting as project managers for specific projects, managing deliverable progress using assigned resources, project tools and reporting using the weekly program processes, including progress, schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Use and where appropriate develop work instructions and templates in line with the ISO9001 quality management system
  • Use and where appropriate develop risk assessments, method statements and documentation associated with the company safety manual
  • Manage and deliver client project deliverables as part of the project and program cycle, ensuring functional resources are allocated effectively

MECHANICAL DESIGNER / DESIGN ENGINEER – BRIGHOUSE or TEESSIDE

Our multi-award winning team is now looking for a Mechanical Designer/Design Engineer to join us. As well as working with some of the world’s most respected manufacturers, you’ll have chance to showcase your skills alongside a supportive and welcoming team.

We require a Mechanical Designer/Design Engineer. Must have experience of AutoCad 2D/3D and Inventor, with ideally some experience of Plant3D (although not essential). Must have experience of site measuring, plant design/layout and design of piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks. Suitable candidates will have experience working in food/pharmaceutical or chemical industries and be familiar with typical process engineering practices.

PROJECT MANAGER – BRIGHOUSE or TEESSIDE

Suitable candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience and an engineering background (ideally having worked in highly regulated industries such as COMAH, pharmaceuticals, food and drink).

The Project Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, varying in value and scale, across a range of clients, so it’s essential that candidates have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project standards in line with regulatory and business requirements including developing the use of tools such as MS project
  • Contribute to the longer-term planning for resource and large projects with respect to business requirements and good project management practice.
  • Effectively and safely manage projects using company ISO9001 processes monitoring progress against plans and budget
  • Develop close working relations with the commercial team as the single point of contact for projects and enquiries, additionally engage with clients as part of the company’s commercial strategies.
  • Provide project processes & leadership for all company locations and staff.
  • Lead and/or contribute to the generation of client proposals in line with commercial requirements

What you can expect to do:

  • Daily and weekly management of projects & enquiries in-line with the program of projects effectively utilising resources to satisfy client requirements, coordination across projects, resolving project issues and managing risks in-line with agreed priorities.
  • Reporting progress for projects; budget, time, schedule adherence, quality and safety encouraging a spirit of continuous improvement and customer service
