Projex solutions were tasked by a Food Supplier Company to assess the installation of two food standard grading machines. The loss of good product due to the configuration of the graders installed and the distribution of material on to the graders, presently allows product to “piggy back” with the subsequent loss.
The existing site had numerous obstacles to overcome such as space limitations and access height restrictions. Projex Solutions Ltd brief was to carry out a feasibility study to assess the capabilities of the current grading machinery. It was found the current installation was not sufficient for the process and the capacity of the machinery could not achieve the desired throughputs.
Projex solutions provided a turnkey project package to be implemented within a plant shut-down. This included detailed mechanical design and layout in 3D and 2D of the re designed grading deck, the required structural and civil modifications such as walkway designs and floor repairs, electrical design such as software integration as the process has to be available to the site SCADA system. Also in this package included a detailed installation method statement and costings for safe removal of roof using a mobile 150t crane and safe scaffold access.
